Redox of PF61 monitored by 1H NMR spectroscopy. The hostguest complex PF61 (bottom) was first treated with Fe(C5Me5)2, which was dissolved in CDCl3 to ensure its solubility, resulting in capsule reduction (middle), then then an acetonitrile solution of AgNTf2 was added to recover the hostguest complex by oxidation (top). The whole process was carried out using one hostguest sample. 1,3,5Methoxybenzene was used as an internal standard, with peaks marked by asterisks.
