Evolution of fractional saturation per cavity (instantaneous number of molecules divided by the average number of molecules at saturation) of a ZIF-8 nanoparticle as solvent molecules intrude during compression simulations at 300 K and 800 bar. The stepwise intrusion of water in CL1 contrasts with the smoother and faster intrusion in the case of CL3. A simulation of the nanoparticle in pure methanol is included as a reference.
