We apply a sensing electric current Isenseto determine the state of the thermal regulator (ON or OFF). In the ON state (top), the power supply is able to provide the requested Isense=1A due to the electrical pathway from power source to ground (blue line). In the OFF state, the regulator is an electrical open circuit and the measured Isense=0 A.
