Immunocytochemistry on fixed microglia grown from human peritumoral tissue resected during neurosurgery shows they express the microglial-specific marker TMEM119 and engulfed pHrodo-Red-labeled human synaptoneurosomes when these were applied 2 h before fixation. Scale bar represents 20 μm.
