Three separate experimental groups for functional tagging were used. In the first group of mice (left), photoconversion (purple shading) was triggered on visuomotor mismatch events. In the second group of mice (middle), photoconversion was triggered on running onsets in darkness. In the third group of mice (right), photoconversion was triggered on onsets of full-field drifting grating stimuli while the mouse was stationary.
