Comparison of fluorescence traces inferred by FIOLA and the LawsonHanson algorithm (used as ground truth, GT) for solving the nonnegative leastsquares (NNLS) problem on calcium and voltage imaging movies, using the same spatial footprints. Examples of modestly (top, r < 0.9), highly (middle, r ~ 0.99) and very highly (bottom, r ~ 0.99999) correlated signals. LawsonHanson traces are overlaid with FIOLA’s source separation using 5, 10 and 30 iterations.
