Schematic diagram of attempt to achieve FM labeling of TRPV1-expressing neurons. CGRPCre+;GFPmice were injected with FM 4-64, followed by 2 h waiting period. FastBlue and capsaicin/vehicle was co-injected subcutaneously intraplantar, near the proximal tibia, and lower biceps femoris. After 72 h, DRGs (L4–L6) were collected, fixed, and whole-mount imaged.
