We found that IRS-1 signalosomes attach to the ER membrane through interacting with VAPB. The FFAT motif in IRS-1 binds the MSP domain of VAPB. Insulin/IGF signaling promotes the IRS-1VAPB interaction and subsequently stabilizes IRS-1.
