Sensory organs and feedback of a dog. The central nervous system fuses sensory information from various organs, such as the inner ear, muscle and skin, and then produces motor commands. The vestibular system of vertebrates senses angular and linear accelerations, the muscle spindles measure the stretch and stretch speed of skeletal muscles, the Golgi tendon organs measure exerted muscular forces and the skin feels pressures.
