The impulsive L accumulation L launches L wave packets of various velocities v L and, thus, an orbital current j L into the W layer. Upon reaching the W back surface, j L is converted into a transverse charge current j C by the IOREE. In the experiment, the orbital currents of all point-like sources add up at the Ni/W interface.
