Heatmap of Legionella sp. abundance. Samples (rows, n = 22) for each collection date (column, n = 5) were grouped by Hierarchical k -means clustering (Supplementary Fig. 4 and Supplementary Table 8 ). Sodium concentrations (ranges, in mM) were subsequently added to each sample (red color denotes high sodium concentrations). The heatmap color scale represents high (yellow to red) and low (purple to black) values. Hierarchical k -means clusters are represented by randomly assigned colors to the left of the heatmap. Spring cluster colors are presented to the right of the heatmap.
