Activity of RecFlex and RecFlex 278 –Zif268 was tested on two types of target sites: loxFlex (34 bp) and the loxFlex-5-zif target sites where loxFlex is flanked by the Zif268 binding motif (9 bp) in orientation B (as shown on the depiction) relative to the lox site and spaced by the 5 bp.
