Projected density of states with associated GB structures for Li2OHCl. Energies are referenced against the position of the valence band maximum in the bulk-like region. Partial charge density isosurfaces show the highest occupied orbital (turquoise) and, where relevant, the lowest unoccupied orbital (yellow). In all four materials, the highest occupied molecular orbitals are often localized.
