Model for the role of Hth in patterning endoblasts. Endoblasts asymmetrically divide in both the Hth+ (yellow cells) and Hth (gray cells) regions of the endoderm. Daughters that inherit basal determinants (green) become AMPs if Hth and ICPs if Hth+. Daughter cells that inherit Numb (magenta) and Pros (blue) become EEs in both regions.
