Projected and transmitted lights on the architecture and plain acrylic plates. The prismatic light guides of the architectured plate reduce the refraction drifts of the projected light spot on the screen resulting in the formation of a transmitted shadow on the screen. In contrast, the refraction in the plain panel prevents the formation of the transmitted shadow (FigureS7, Supporting Information).
