Milk glycome similarity across species. For all species with at least five MOs, we used their pruned biosynthetic network to calculate pairwise Jaccard distances and create a dendrogram via hierarchical clustering. Enrichment for the indicated taxonomic groups in some clades was tested via hypergeometric tests using scipy. Clades are defined by arrows pointing to the branchpoint encompassing the clade. We note that Artiodactyla presented two clades (the lower of which derived from our work18), and both were tested.
