Schematic of maraviroc (MVC) treatment in PS19 mice. MVC (50 mg/kg B.W.) was administered daily via i.p. injection to PS19:Ccr5+/+ (n = 10 mice) aged 39 weeks. Equal numbers of transgenic mice were injected daily with vehicle. Behavioral phenotyping was performed in the beginning (day 0 and day 1) and at the end (day 31 and day 32) of the treatment. Mice were then perfused, and brains were collected and processed for biochemical and histological analyses shown in (B), (C), (D), and (E).
