Alternative membrane diffusion assay in which we bleach the membrane marker CellMask across a wide section of the cell (sparing a small section of the membrane maker), opto-activate a portion of the cell angled 90° from the unbleached area (or use no light as control), and monitor the diffusion pattern of the unbleached area over time.
