Per-tissue comparison between HYFA and TEEBoT when using all accessible tissues (whole blood, skin sun exposed, skin not sun exposed and adipose subcutaneous) as reference. HYFA achieved superior Pearson correlation in all target tissues when multiple reference tissues were considered. For under-represented target tissues (fewer than 25 individuals with source and target tissues in the test set), we considered all the validation and test individuals (translucent bars). We employed two-sided MannWhitneyWilcoxon tests to compute P values (*1 x 10-2 < P <= 5 x 10-2 , **1 x 10-3 < P <= 1 x 10-2 , ***1 x 10-4 < P <= 1 x 10-3 , **** P <= 1 x 10-4 ). The top axis indicates the total number n of independent individuals for every target tissue.
