Violin Plot from Scientific Research

The DC is computed between the segmentation masks of synthetic and real STED image from the same time point (n = 168 pairs of real and synthetic images). When an STED acquisition would have been triggered using the VS criterion, the DC between the two corresponding images is lower. Violin plots show the minimum, maximum and mean. Statistical analysis: two-sided Mann-Whitney U test for the null hypothesis that the two distributions are the same (* P = 0.014). Scale bars, 1 m.
