The patient's autologous T cells are transduced with lentivirus carrying a plasmid encoding for an anti-mesothelin, llama-derived, single-domain antibody (MH1) fused to the CD3 subunit using a linker sequence. Upon translation, the gavo-cel transgene integrates into the native TCR complex, exploiting the native TCR-driven T cell activation, effector function and regulation.
