Microscopy from Scientific Research

Primary cultures of CGNs between 5 and 7 DIV were transfected with shRNA against either PI4KII or a Scr control. CGNs expressing PI4KII were co-transfected with either WT FLAG-PI4KII, PI4KII-QD, or PI4KII-S47/51D. At 8–10 DIV, CGNs were stimulated with a train of 400 action potentials (40 Hz) in the presence of 50 M TMR-dextran for 2 min.
