Pictures and UHPLC-DAD/UV chromatogram recorded at 450 nm of extracts from WT callus and a representative transgenic line AL-1 + AL-2 + AL-3 (AL-1/-2/-3) or tHMGR + AL-1 + AL-2 + AL-3 (tHMGR/AL-1/-2/-3) line. In addition to two endogenous xanthophylls (violaxanthin and lutein), four major peaks were observed in AL-1/-2/-3 and tHMGR/AL-1/-2/-3 transgenic lines. P1 (peak 1), beta-carotene; P2 (peak 2), gamma-carotene; P3 (peak 3), torulene; P4 (peak 4), 3-4 didehydrolycopene.
