Heat map illustrating the relative activities of substrates 1 – 5 for Ma PylRS, as determined by intact tRNA analysis (Supplementary Figs. 3 – 6 ) as described in Methods . The yields are reported as percentages based on intact tRNA analysis. The percentage yields were calculated as the ratio of tRNA acylated with the monomer of interest divided by the total tRNA detected by the LC–MS analysis. The black box indicates that no reaction product was detected; the box marked X indicates that the substrate was not investigated.
