Scheme of the solar battery, comprising the active material K-PHI, which acts both as light absorber and electron storage material (ESM), the hole transport material (HTM) PVK and the hole storage material (HSM) PEDOT:PSS, sandwiched between two ITO substrates. Upon illumination, charge carriers generated in the active area of the ESM charge K-PHI and holes are shuttled to PEDOT:PSS.
