The number of live bacteria inPg-infected HGECs with (+M/G) or without (-M/G) antibiotics washing followed by treatments with BiCD, Ber-NH2, and BiCD-Ber for a certain period. The assay was conducted on three different occasions in triplicate, and the data are presented as mean SD. The asterisk (*) and pound (#) signs reflect the significant differences between the treatment and control groups withp-value <0.05 or 0.0001, respectively.
