Each pie chart represents the virus community of a host plant population, overlaid on the map of the Aland Islands. The locations of the pie charts correspond roughly to the geographical locations of the corresponding populations in Aland, with slight adjustments to avoid overlap of the charts. Infection load is shown with grayscale, as indicated in the legend. Sliced portions of same shade of gray indicate plant hosts with equal numbers of viruses.
