Global RER assay. Genomic DNA was isolated, treated with RNaseHII, and then resolved on mildly alkaline agarose gels. Representative gel for the WT and ΔrnhA/Bmutants is shown on the left. Relative amount of rNMP-free DNA (%) was plotted as a ratio of high molecule weight (HMW) products before and after RNaseHII treatment. Numbers are mean ± SEM from three independent experiments.
