Schematic representation of the nonhomologous chromosome translocation between Ae. umbellulata chromosome 6U and bread wheat chromosome 6BL. The irradiation led to chromosome breaks and random chromosome fusions. During the translocation, a 5.58-Mb bread wheat chromosome segment was lost.
