The left shows the side, front and bottom views of density map from conventional nonuniform refinement colored by local resolution. The right shows a canonical density map from 3DFlex with the same local resolution color scale. Both maps are locally filtered, sharpened identically and displayed at the same threshold level to simplify visual comparison of map quality. 3DFlex exhibits improvement in map structure, with comparison aided by red markers.
