Spherical patchy particles with four circular patches to encode the characteristic five-particle structural motif of the target single-gyroid crystal structure. The patches are arranged so that the bonds to the central particle pass through the centers of the patches. The dashed lines show the bonds which complete the two planar trigonal units.
