Plotted are the energy flux of the nonlinear convective term Π (dashed lines), solvent dissipation D (dotted lines) and the non-Newtonian contribution N (solid lines) for Bi Λ = 0 (black), Bi Λ = 2.5 (dark green), Bi Λ = 12.5 (light green) and Bi Λ = 25 (orange). Each term is normalized by the total dissipation rate < ε t >. N grows at intermediate and small scales when Bi Λ is increased, eventually becoming the dominant contribution.
