After building an LOH tree, if, in region 1 (R1), the amount of private LOH is less than 2% of the total amount of LOH (shared + private) in R1, then R1 is inferred as an ancestor-like region. Conversely, if, in region 2 (R2), the amount of private LOH is greater than 10% of the total amount of LOH in R2, then R2 is inferred as a descendant-like region.
