Three scenarios for the computational model of Arabidopsis root simulations. Scenario 1: no drop in brassinosteroid (BR) signaling after cell division; brassinosteroid biosynthetic genes are not expressed due to feedback inhibition. Scenario 2: a drop in brassinosteroid signaling in both daughter cells post-division allows equal expression of brassinosteroid biosynthetic genes with signaling recovering equally in the two daughter cells after a delay. Scenario 3: brassinosteroid signaling decreases in both daughter cells post-division but recovers immediately in one, allowing the other cell to express brassinosteroid biosynthetic genes after a delayed recovery.
