Y. pseudotuberculosis disrupt host cell function by interfering with actin filament formation through the injection of multiple toxins through its type III secretion system. The interaction monitored over time with images taken every 2 min reveals a clear effect on the host cell actin morphology and dynamics by the bacteria. Data are based on two independent experiments. Out-of-focus light was removed in post-processing using NIS Elements Clarify.ai. N represents number of cells.
