The star represents the oxidation of methionine. The dot product (dp) indicates the similarity to the matching spectrum of the synthetic peptide and ranges from 0 to 1 with higher scores indicating better similarities. We note that the detected peptide also matches an alternative microprotein isoform of SVIL-AS1 of 81 aa (Table S4).
