Solid lines represent the ensemble mean change in zooplankton biomass and shaded areas are the standard deviation from separate simulations of ZooMSS, each forced by one of five Earth-system models. The dashed black line in each plot represents no change from mean biomass in 1980-2000. Note that temperate corresponds to westerlies Longhurst biomes and global results exclude the coastal biome; Extended Data Fig. 10 gives a map of the biomes.
