Diagram showing the strategy used to generate the different types of tumoroids. After tumor digestion, a part of the cells were frozen and then thawed to generate the Frozen Cell Tumoroids. The remaining cells were used to generate the Fresh tumoroids. A part of these tumoroids were cryopreserved and then thawed, corresponding to the Frozen Tumoroids. The three types of tumoroids were compared at the same time point post-culture at date 1 (4-5 weeks) or date 2 (6-7 weeks).
