POM image and interferometer measurements of the same LCN fingerprint coating polymerized in the presence of 5 wt.% of the azobenzene compound (Coating thickness: 8.4 µm). The fingerprint valleys correspond to the black homeotropically-aligned regions, while the fingerprint ridges correspond to the colored planarly-aligned regions.
