In addition to the bare expansion coefficients (open symbols), the figure also provides the α values divided by the fragility parameter m (filled symbols), being a measure of cooperative dynamics. The solid orange lines show linear fits with a slope of -1, based on all data points for each phase, except for α l of the borates and of water. The dashed lines represent fits with α ∝ exp(- T g / θ ) with the same θ ≈ 270 K for both data sets. Note that the ordinates of d and e have been adjusted to achieve the same decades per centimetre ratio.
