Stereotyped asymmetry of AB-projecting H-neurons, marked using 72A10-lexA driver. Two categories of flies are found in wild-type: 95% of flies (ASYM flies; left panel) have H-neurons projecting asymmetrically into the Right AB (RAB), while in the remaining 5% flies (SYM flies; right panel) projections are symmetrical and found in both Left and Right ABs (LAB and RAB) ( n = 102 brains).
