Intestinal polyp numbers in mice targeted with the indicated shRNAs. Two shRNAs were used for p53 knockdown (sh1558 in black and sh852 in red). The indicated regions of the intestine were analysed side by side with Welch’s t -test without multiple comparison testing. sh-luci and sh-p53 polyp numbers in the different intestinal regions were pooled for normality testing and were found to be normally distributed (D’Agostino and Pearson normality test). Apc Min/+ mice: luciferase n = 5, p53 sh842 n = 6, p53 sh1558 n = 4; Apc +/+ mice: luciferase n = 8, H2B-RFP n = 3, p53 sh842 n = 5, p53 sh1558 n = 5.
