Figure shows the molecular Nugent score (termed molBV) distributions across the three visits (i.e., pre-infection, t-1, cross-sectional, t0, and post-treatment, t+1) with p values shown above boxplots based on Wilcoxon rank sum test applied to the case-control status established at t0. molBV is a quantitative measure of BV (ranging from 0-10, with higher values representing a more BV-like state). In molBV analyses, the prospective t-1 and cross-sectional t0 visits showed significant association with incident CT infection in cases. See also Figures S1 and S5.
