A hexaniobate-complexed 2.4 nm NC of CuO (1), whose monoclinic phase is based on square-planar coordination of CuII: see inset, which also shows multiple planes of the three-dimensional NC. NbO6polyhedra are in grey, Cu in red and O atoms in grey.
