The model estimates a coefficient for each of the seven acoustic factors (RCs) and a group-level deviation per corpus. The black line is the average coefficient across corpora, and the grey area around the line is an 89% credible interval. To put our model estimates in some context, we include the empirical findings from two reviews on acoustic profiles of emotions 16 , 27 . Juslin and Laukka 16 only distinguish between positive and negative; Scherer 27 distinguishes between a little and very negative or positive.
