Simulated DOS of a chiral d + i d superconductor, approaching the open edge of a cylinder (Methods). As in i, a spectrum from the centre of the cylinder is subtracted to highlight the contribution from the edge state to the total DOS inside the superconducting gap. The spectra in h – j are vertically shifted for clarity.
