Repeated switching between spinning carousels up to five times in 49 cases from 17 individuals (out of 61 flies during 48 h) occurs significantly more in seeker flies (11 out of 18) than in avoider flies (6 out of 43). All these transitions are exclusively based on walks from the ring region and had at least 15% occupancy on the moving carousel. Fishers exact test,p= 0.0004.
