Density Plot from Scientific Research

Citation
Observed distribution of S pyogenes lineages over time from sites in Melbourne. Each lineage is labelled with the most common emm type in brackets. The y-axes of the density plots correspond to the distribution of the isolation dates of the samples, which are not proportional to the total number of isolates (ie, the sum of the area under the curve of each plot is 1). The number of isolates is represented by points under each density curve for observed data and is labelled on the right. Only lineages with at least five isolates are shown and are ordered by date of their peak, with dominant lineages that were present throughout the study period shown at the top.
