Pretreatments were performed with toluene and/or H2 at 600°C for 30 min. Each reactant is present at 10 vol %, except for toluene, which was bubbled at 18°C to create a vapor pressure of ~18 mm Hg (~2.4 vol % assuming ideal gas). Post-pretreatment propene metathesis was performed at 70°C while flowing 40 sccm 20 mol % propene in helium at 5 psig. Activity was measured at 15 min TOS. Error bars represent ±1 standard deviation of sample replicates, depending on the number of replicates (sample size = 2, 3(*), 4(▲), 5(•)).
