Microscopy from Scientific Research

HeLa cells were transfected with either a control siRNA or siRNA targeting VPS37A for 3 days, then fixed, labeled for endogenous LC3B and VPS36, and processed for super-resolution microscopy. Blot shows extent of VPS37A depletion. Knockdown effects were also clear in cells from which we took these images—in control there were 45 closed structures and 6 open structures, in the VPS37A knockdown cells there were 10 closed structures and 50 open structures.
